The day of the Anime Clubs very first fundraiser has come to a close, so I would like to say, Thank You to everyone who came today and supported us.
For those who couldn’t attend, a quick recap of the day is in order. We had a quiet start to the day but once it hit 12pm there was an influx in student passing by. We had a sign up station and the main fundraising station.The sign up station included a display of various anime related items as well as a portable DVD player showing Spirited Away. Our President, Perline, showcased our blog to the people who passed by and where interested in signups. Our member John walked around with a Hollow Mask and a sign on his chest advertising the Anime Club. Our esteemed team, Joseph, Cecilia, Newton, Sarah and Charlie spoke to many students who passed by, enabling a successful and fun day.
Our fundraisers included a Guessing Competition, were you had to guess how many stars where in the jar (1st prize was the whole jar of stars and 2nd place was a stationary pack). We also sold raffle tickets (1st prize was 3 plush toys, 2nd prize was a Game Traders gift voucher and 3rd prize was a poster and key chain). To help us with our fundraiser, a friend to the club donated some sweets which resembled a teacup (a biscuit plate, a marshmallow teacup and a lifesaver as the handle) We are forever grateful to your generosity. We had music going in the background from various anime, we had some good laughs and great fun. This is the first of many fundraisers to come and only a small portion of the fun we are yet to have in the future.

As this was our very first fundraising event, we had an awesome day today. It was great to see that a large number of people were interested in learning about the club. It was also great to see so many people who were interested in joining us.
On behalf of the whole club, we would like to thank you for showing your interests and supporting the club and welcome to the new members! We look forward to seeing you all in future meetings.
Also a special Thank You to all members who came to help today, it wouldn’t have been a success if it wasn’t for your hard work and dedication to the club.
